Ten additional quotes by Toni Sorenson

“Want to create the best Christmas ever? Forgive someone who doesn’t deserve your forgiveness. Hug a stranger. Pass on something that you want to keep for yourself. Spend time with the ones you love. Spend time on your knees. Decorate your life with light and laughter. Love yourself while you’re loving others. Christmas is about Christ and Christ is all about your joy and happiness.”

that one about not getting caught up in the wrapping paper. I love it. People should mean more to each other than the gifts they give on Christmas. It’s love that makes the world go around, beautiful to be reminded of this, it is what we need at the moment. Especially at the moment with everyone complaining at the postmen for the time they are taking to deliver the xmas parcels, surely they deserve our love for helping us send these masses of junk to each other. This a good reminder.

“Decorate your holiday home with people that sparkle, not things that shine.” This is so true these days, people often forget that gifts and presents , materialistic things are the least of our life. Rather it’s the people we have, we hang out with and enjoy being with, pets , friends & family. Seems that the world has lost its ways in more than one way.

These are all very beautiful quotes. I am usually not big on Christmas, but these quotes touched something in me. “Forgive the ones who do not deserve our forgiveness” … that is a big one with me, because there are two people (neighbors) who have done terrible things to me and although I think I have forgiven them, it still occupies my mind at times.
I did not know that Toni Robinson had such wonderful quotes about Christmas, but she certainly made me see it in a different view from now on 🙂

I’m glad these quotes touched you, they also seemed very special to me, so I put them together in this post and video.
I understand your experience with neighbors, I have a similar one myself, it’s easy to forgive, it’s harder to forget and move on, especially if someone has really hurt you a lot.
I wish you a pleasant Christmas time and week with lots of beautiful moments, laughter, hugs, and love.

    Hi Nina,

I am so pleased I came across your inspirational and positive article. I live in London on my own and I was planning to head up to Liverpool to see my family for Christmas. But over the weekend we have been told in London that we cannot leave the city or mix with other people. So, for the first time on my life I have to spend Christmas day on my own. So reading your Christmas quotes and article has cheered me up. In fact, I am going to bookmark this article and share it with my friends who will also be alone at Christmas.

Thank you so much for sharing this and I hope you have a merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Stay safe.

    All the best,

I wish you all the best, let these holidays be something special for you.

This article came at a perfect time. The end of my year has been very hectic and not that great. It seems that 2020 can’t just fade away quietly, but rather take a big chunk of happiness along with it. Only to ring in the new year with a very sad note. But, I suppose we’re not the only ones with 2020 lingering like a bad event that doesn’t end. Many people have experienced all the maddening events that have taken their tolls in many lives.

I’m hoping that things look up for me and my family, but of course, nothing comes easy or without a fight. Thank you for your uplifting words to end the year on a more positive note.

True, the year 2020 was difficult and sad for many people. We all hope that 2021 will be more friendly, positive, and happy. I wish you and your family to shine a bright ray and illuminate the year 2021.
      Friendly greeting,

    Hi Nina,

    You’ve shared some wonderful quotes.

“Forgive someone who doesn’t deserve your forgiveness.” struck out the most for me. Letting go of a past hurtful experience caused by someone is huge. It’s forgiving and forgetting.

Believe it or not, I’ve rekindled a couple of broken friendships this year. I feel lighter and happier honestly. Everyone’s more mature and understanding. It’s great, really. The emotional hit will always be remembered but it is far more beautiful to forgive them anyway.

Thanks for sharing this. And have a wonderful Christmas! Stay safe and healthy always.

The anniversaries of loved ones we have lost can be really sad. However, it is nice to carry the memory of them with you, because that is how they continue to live.

I’ve never been a big fan of Christmas because it has become so commercialized, and I believe the true ‘spirit’ of the occasion or meaning, has been diluted and even lost.

However, I love that you focus on the feelings that Christmas invokes in us, rather than the giving of gifts.
I think the true meaning of giving is expressed nicely in many of your quotes, and I particularly like this one: “The best gift you can open this Christmas season is your own heart.” Toni Sorenson

    Many thanks for sharing,
And Merry Christmas to us all 🙂

Thank you, Andrew! I am also not a fan of commercial Christmas, I find more important the time we spend with our loved ones and the interconnectedness.

    Hi Nina,

Yet another set of great quotes – this is the kind of positivity we all need at this moment. These inspirational and motivational quotes could be the perfect gift for Christmas to all the readers.

“Decorate your holiday home with people that sparkle, not things that shine.”  I cannot even tell you how accurate this quote is, how we often get carried away focusing more on decorations and less on the people around us.

Thanks again for this beautiful post, I will surely share it with all my friends.

    Happy Christmas!

Thank you, Femi for your kind words and comment. I am very glad that you like them so much that you will share them with your friends.

“Decorate your holiday home with people that sparkle, not things that shine.” I LOVE that one. Although I would admit I’d prefer decorating both things lol!

All the quotes are true though, hits right at home – it’s the people we should care about, not the gifts.

    Hi Nina,

Such beautiful quotes literally felt each word these are an amazing set of quotes to change our thinking of life. Personally loved the quote which said ‘forgive those who doesn’t deserve your forgiveness’ this touched my heart we often hold grudges in life that actually worsen our life instead we can forgive and let it go.
True happiness is not found in materialistic things, it comes from the love we receive from each other.
Love is all that matters, things that are of quality and not quantity is the true meaning of life.

Thanks for sharing this life changing quotes which are so inspiring!
