Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. As long as there is poverty in this world, no man can be totally rich even if he has a billion dollars. As long as diseases are rampant and millions of people cannot expect to live more than twenty or thirty years, no man can be totally healthy, even if he just got a clean bill of health from the finest clinic in America. These are amazing positive quotes! It’s weird that I did not run into this on the motivational Monday ha ha. But I definitely find great value in these quotes and if you don’t mind, can I use this in the future to motivate other people? Thanks for sharing your weekly positive thoughts. My favorite is changing to be who or what you want  be. One should not just relax and accept, especially things we can change. We should  never settle, if we want something in life we should work towards achieving it. with had work and dedication all things are possible

What a great way to start each day of the new week with a positive quote about personal health to meditate upon. I just finished reading The Book of Joy (which featured a look at the friendship and philosophies of the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu), so I was very happy to see a quote from the Dalai Lama featured this week!

Mark Twain is one of my favorite authors, and his quote about Scotch whisky made me smile. Thanks so much!

Thanks for the kind comment. I’m glad I also added a quote from the Dalai Lama, this quote had to find you this week.

This one from Mark Twain, however, is a bit provocative, to spice up this post.

I wish you a wonderful week,

I love having daily quotes and affirmations to inspire me throughout my day. Also, I enjoy your content and the way you add graphics to your quotes to draw the reader in. Keep doing what you are doing, and continue to inspire. One of my favorite philosophies is the law of attraction, and I wonder if you have any quotes about that. Maybe something along the lines of “you reap what you sow”.

Thanks for the encouraging words and kind comment. To me, too, the philosophy of the law of attraction is very fascinating. Thanks for the great idea, I will be collecting quotes on this topic and preparing a weekly post in one of the coming weeks.

I wish you a wonderful week,

    Hi Nina,
I enjoy reading inspiring quotes because they are so uplifting. Matter of fact, I often use them whenever I am talking to family and friends. And I would even put a quote on my website sometimes. I especially love the quote you share about “The food you eat.” What a great reminder about the importance of eating healthy.

      Hi, Carol!

I’m glad you read the quotes regularly and share them with your family and occasionally on your website. Thank you for sharing with me your thoughts prompted by a quote about the food we eat.

I wish you a wonderful week,

      Nina

Hello Nina, a sincere thank you for your post.

It’s really nice to start each day with a positive quote. These ones about health and what you eat, of many people throughout History, are only a fact that what you eat is actually very important. Thinking about it, and the amount of chemicals we are ingesting nowadays, every day, should also be something we should give importance to.

Eating whole food is a good step towards health, but it might not be enough, if we think about how some animals are raised and intensive crops are managed. We’ve got to start questioning seriously animal and vegetable growth practices at a global level, not only because it’s unhealthy, but because is not sustainable.

    Thanks for posting,

    Sofia

I love this inspiring set of quotes.  Good health is, indeed, everything.  I especially like the one by John Rohn about your body being the only place you have to live and Herophilos about how nothing else can matter if we don’t have our health.  Mark Twain takes the cake, as he always does!  Haha!!

Hi, Cynthia! Interesting selection of quotes you mentioned, thanks!

Hi there, thanks for these beautiful quotes on health, I totally agree with them all because health is simply priceless and without good health we can not achieve much. I personally liked Mahatma Gandhi’s health quote more, real wealth is not a piece of gold or silver but health, awesome and so true!!!

It is important to be positive. Taking care of your body should be on everyone’s mind. Reading some of these quotes, I am reminded to pay more attention to what I eat and drink. We have been doing good with our diet and have cut out some of the things that were preventig us from losing weight. Yesterday, we cheated and finished up a couple of bottles of wine. That slow poison quote is right on point with the way we felt this morning.

    • admin Reply

Thanks for your visit and comment. Well, if a person sometimes indulges in a glass too much in good company, there is nothing wrong as long as it is not too common and harmful to our body. Feeling unwell this morning may be a sign that there were too many two or three glasses 😉

I wish you a wonderful week,

      Nina

I really liked Ann Wigmore’s quote about food being “..the most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison”. Your post encouraged me to read her bio. Although I do not agree with many of the things she believed, I agree with this quote. Thanks for including it here!

Thanks for the kind comment. Yes, this quote from Ann Wigmore is really great. I also don’t agree with everything she has advocated, but as a strong woman, she is worthy of all admiration.
