The Mother Theresa quote reminds me of teachings about the power of NOW. Eckhart Tolle’s books and lectures go into this subject matter of “the now” with practical advice on how to focus on what is happening right now and to let go of anxieties regarding the past or the future.

Great quotes and food for thought for the week!

Hi Nina – Thank you for this site!  I signed up for the weekly newsletter.  The site clearly has a niche, and the brand is evident.  I agree that there is a need to be reminded that others have gone before, and their wisdom could be useful in the present moment.  Not everything from the past is worthy of discard.

Thanks for all the work.  I’m looking forward to inspiration.

Thank you for sharing these rich quotes. They are filled with wisdom. I believe that somebody will be blessed by reading and reflecting on them.  I love the quote by Steve Maraboll which says “My past has not defined me, destroyed me, deterred me, or defeated me; it has only strengthened me.” This particular quote resonated with me in a special way. I believe, that if you can see your life and your past by the reason of that quote, that you’re on the right part of history, and will live a life of victory. Therefore, I recommend that people read and reflect on quotes like this.

Your quote for June 15th is so true for me.  I have a past that saw a lot of hardship, tears, joy, and it did test me.  But it has strengthened me.  I am a lot stronger today, and I can handle most of what life throws at me.  I think that it gave me or showed me a new attitude on life.  To live life to the fullest, because tomorrow is a new day and a new story.

“My past has not defined me, destroyed me, deterred me, or defeated me; it has only strengthened me.”

This is so true. I would love to believe that we shouldn’t define and judge other people’s past. We are all evolving. We develop. Hence we unlearn some mistakes and ideals that are problematic. Growth is what we should all aim for.
